Could You Help Keep Brailsford Connected? |
||
|
Good afternoon, I hope you are well. We are currently looking for one or more local residents who may be interested in becoming a Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator for Brailsford. The role is flexible and can be shared between several people, existing community groups, residents' associations, parish councils, community volunteers, or other local organisations. Many of our most successful Watches are supported by a number of people working together rather than relying on a single individual. As part of Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch's new Rural Coordinator Network, Brailsford would become part of a wider network connecting villages across Derbyshire. This allows communities to share information quickly about crimes, scams, suspicious activity and local issues that may affect neighbouring villages. By connecting Coordinators across rural Derbyshire, we can help ensure villages are aware of incidents happening nearby and can work together to improve community safety. Neighbourhood Watch is about much more than crime prevention. We are increasingly helping communities access funding and support for projects that make a real difference locally, including: • Biodiversity and environmental projects Funding may also be available for Neighbourhood Watch signage and other resources to help raise awareness within the village and promote community involvement. You can be as involved as you wish, and we will provide support, training, guidance and resources to help you get started. Many Coordinators spend only a small amount of time each month sharing information and helping keep their community connected. If you would like to find out more, or simply have an informal chat about what is involved, please reply to this email and we would be delighted to hear from you. Together we can help keep Brailsford connected, informed and supported while ensuring the village has a strong voice within Derbyshire's growing rural community network. Kind regards, Abbie Coleman | ||
